In the Mehar Cafe, Jaipur

It would seem there is an inverse relationship between how interesting my experiences are and how interesting my blog is at any given time. I have spent the last few days wandering through palaces and slums and hilltop forts in Jaipur, with an interlude at an organic farm in the countryside twenty-five kilometers north of here. It is there that William McCafferey is spending his time, learning a very different agriculture in a very different way.

Unfortunately, internet here is not only slow and expensive, but not at all pleasant to work on. The cafe’s are crowded when you can find them, the patrons sometimes pushy, and the keyboards frustrating. Once I get somewhere with a good internet situation I’ll put up a few of the more memorable experiences and with luck some photos, but for now its back to the old-fashioned way: pen and paper.

This evening I head north to Chardigarh (spp??) and then Himachal Pradesh and MOUNTAINS!

I hope you have had / are having a great trip north!
I went to Ithaca this past weekend to move my stuff out of storage into my room. Then I drove home, wishing I could have seen more people who were in Ithaca for the summer, and wishing that all you crazy far away people were a lot closer. I miss you!
