Before Blue Eyes

Since I’m so far behind on my writing, here are a few of the better pictures from the last month or so.

Prayer flags near the Old Palace in Leh.

Nap-time in rural Rajastan.

A verdant rice field in Bhairhawa, Nepal. Not sure if I’m spelling that correctly…

India in a nutshell: a telecommunications sign on an elegant old building in Jaipur.

Getting the goods where they need to be… eventually. Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Efficient if precarious transportation in Kathmandu.

Pack-horse trains crossing the Ton-ton La in central Ladahk.

Evening ceremony at the ghats on the banks of the Ganga, Varanasi.

CALEB!! I’ve escaped Ukraine and have some serious catching up to do with your blog. I love the prayer flag photo!

Haha to the precarious guy on a bicycle 🙂
Just a little reminder that the stories you tell from far distant lands aren’t really that distant to some here in the US – just yesterday I saw a local with a similar load.
Durham has to be one of the most socially stratified places I’ve seen yet, but those stories are for later…
